The MOXA NPort 6650-8-2AC-G2 is an 8-port RS-232/422/485 secure terminal server that combines flexible serial support with the ordering convenience of the 2AC package variant. In the NPort 6600-G2 lineup, this model is aimed at users who need a compact number of serial ports but still require compatibility with more than one serial standard. Because it supports RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485, it is more adaptable than the RS-232-only NPort 6610 family and suits environments where device types vary from project to project. It is especially useful in industrial automation cabinets, utility panels, transportation systems, and remote control enclosures where a small number of mixed-standard serial endpoints need to be brought onto an Ethernet network securely. As part of the G2 platform, it also includes Moxa’s security-focused design approach, with IEC 62443-4-1 development process alignment, IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certification, Secure Boot, TLS, SSH, RADIUS, TACACS+, and encrypted configuration handling.
The clearest differentiation for the NPort 6650-8-2AC-G2 is that it pairs 8 flexible serial ports with 2 included power cables, while maintaining a -10 to 60°C operating range. Compared with the 6650-8-G2, the main distinction is the 2AC package configuration. Compared with the 6650-16-2AC-G2 and 6650-32-2AC-G2, it is better suited to smaller device counts and more compact installations. Compared with the 6610-8-2AC-G2, its major advantage is support for RS-422 and RS-485 as well as RS-232. That makes it a stronger option for serial gateways, field device integration, and industrial equipment networks that use multidrop or longer-distance serial links. The device also supports automatic data direction control, software-configurable RS-485 termination and pull resistors, 2 x Gigabit Ethernet, and one-click log collection with application analysis for easier deployment and support. For projects needing a secure and versatile low-port-count terminal server that can handle mixed serial standards without moving to a wide-temperature or isolated model, the NPort 6650-8-2AC-G2 is an excellent fit.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
