The Moxa PT-7528-12MST-12TX-4GSFP-HV is a rugged IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 compliant Layer 2 managed Ethernet switch engineered for mission-critical substation automation networks. Offering 12 Fast Ethernet copper ports, 12 Fast Ethernet fibre ports with ST connectors, and 4 Gigabit SFP uplink slots, it delivers the flexibility needed for high-bandwidth, redundant communication. Its robust design is backed by dual isolated 110/220 VDC/VAC inputs, ensuring resilient operation even in demanding power environments.
The switch integrates a built-in MMS server based on IEC 61850-90-4 data modelling, enabling seamless integration into SCADA systems and simplifying power utility deployments. Moxa’s Noise Guard technology provides exceptional EMC immunity, maintaining zero packet loss performance even under heavy electrical interference. Redundancy protocols, including Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery), RSTP, and MSTP, guarantee high availability for substation networks.
Security is enforced through SNMPv3, IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS, and TACACS+, while encrypted management via HTTPS and SSH prevents unauthorised access. QoS, VLAN tagging, and IGMP snooping support deterministic traffic flows, particularly for GOOSE and SMV packets. Advanced monitoring tools such as RMON, port mirroring, and automatic warning outputs provide operators with proactive diagnostics.
Designed for extreme reliability, the PT-7528-12MST-12TX-4GSFP-HV operates across a wide -40 to 85°C temperature range, meeting stringent IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 Class 2 standards. Its fanless aluminium chassis with IP40 protection withstands vibration, shock, and harsh substation conditions. In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
