The PT-7528-16MST-8TX-4GSFP-WV-WV is a dual DC-powered managed switch designed for substation automation and demanding utility applications. IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 compliance ensure strong EMC immunity and reliable operation in electrically noisy environments.
It provides 16 Fast Ethernet ST fibre ports, eight copper ports, and 4 Gigabit SFP uplinks, delivering flexible deployment across backbone and edge layers. Dual redundant 24/48 VDC power inputs safeguard critical communications, ensuring continuous availability even during primary supply failures.
Moxa’s Noise Guard™ technology guarantees zero packet loss at wire speed. Fast recovery redundancy is achieved through Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms), with additional support for RSTP and MSTP.
The built-in MMS server (IEC 61850-90-4) streamlines SCADA integration, while Fibre Check diagnostics provide real-time monitoring and alerts on fibre degradation. Advanced traffic management is supported by VLAN, quality of service, and IGMP snooping, ensuring deterministic packet delivery for substation protocols such as GOOSE and SMVs.
Cybersecurity is reinforced with IEEE 802.1X, SNMPv3, RADIUS, TACACS+, SSH, and HTTPS, protecting unauthorised access. Proactive management features include Syslog, RMON, LLDP, and automatic recovery of device IP addresses.
Built in an IP40-rated aluminium chassis with a fanless design, the PT-7528-16MST-8TX-4GSFP-WV-WV operates reliably from -40 to 85°C, withstanding vibration, shock, and extended temperature extremes.
This dual DC-input model is ideal for operators seeking a fibre-dense. These substation-certified switches combine high port density, robust security, and resilient redundancy for critical industrial and energy networks.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
