The Moxa PT-7528-8SSC-16TX-4GSFP-WV-WV is a rugged, high-availability Ethernet switch optimised for IEC 61850-3 substation environments and fibre-dense networks. This model offers 16 copper Fast Ethernet ports, 8 single-mode SC fibre ports, and 4 Gigabit SFP uplinks, creating a powerful backbone solution for critical applications.
Designed for demanding environments, the PT-7528 meets IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards, withstanding EMI and electrical disturbances common in substations. Noise Guard technology guarantees wire-speed, zero packet loss performance, while the integrated MMS server supports IEC 61850-90-4 SCADA data modelling for seamless automation system integration.
Redundancy is delivered via Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery), as well as support for STP, RSTP, and MSTP. Fibre Check monitors fibre health in real time, enabling predictive maintenance and preventing downtime. VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, and trunking improve performance and reliability in large-scale industrial networks.
Security is reinforced through IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, SSH, and HTTPS, ensuring only authorised users can access the switch. Centralised visibility is supported with SNMPv3, RMON, and Syslog, giving operators confidence in managing mission-critical deployments.
Dual 24/48 VDC inputs guarantee uninterrupted operation, while the -40 to 85°C temperature rating allows use in extreme climates. The PT-7528-8SSC-16TX-4GSFP-WV-WV is an ideal choice for utilities, rail systems, and energy automation requiring high reliability and long-distance fibre connectivity.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.

Our customer was looking for ways to improve efficiency and reliability, and reduce operation costs and overheads for their manufacturing facility. The initial step in this transformation was to add additional monitoring and measurements to several areas of their facility to allow the collection of usage data from older machinery for analysis. The machinery to be analysed would be located in many areas of the complex, with some sitting in concrete outbuildings far from the source of the main network.
