The Moxa PT-7528-16MSC-8TX-4GSFP-WV-WV is a dual DC input managed Ethernet switch designed for IEC 61850-3 power substations and demanding industrial sites. It combines 8 copper Fast Ethernet ports with 16 multi-mode SC fibre ports and 4 Gigabit SFP uplinks, providing balanced copper-to-fibre connectivity with resilient power support.
Built to withstand harsh EMI environments, this model is fully compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613. Noise Guard technology eliminates packet loss at wire speed, while the integrated MMS server ensures smooth IEC 61850-90-4 SCADA integration.
High availability is delivered via Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy (<20 ms recovery), as well as STP, RSTP, and MSTP. Fibre Check continuously diagnoses fibre link quality, allowing operators to prevent outages. Network performance is enhanced with VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, and trunking.
Security is enforced with IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, RADIUS, SSH, and HTTPS, protecting critical assets from unauthorised access. Centralised monitoring is simplified through SNMPv3, RMON, and Syslog support.
With a rugged operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C, the PT-7528-16MSC-8TX-4GSFP-WV-WV is ideal for substations, rail systems, and energy distribution. Its dual DC redundancy and fibre-centric port mix make it an optimal choice for reliable, scalable automation networks.
