The PT-7528-16MST-8TX-4GSFP-HV is a rugged IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 compliant managed Ethernet switch designed for mission-critical power substation networks. This model features 16 Fast Ethernet ST fibre ports, eight copper ports, and 4 Gigabit SFP uplinks, providing high flexibility for mixed backbone and access layer deployments.
With a 110/220 VDC/VAC power supply input, the switch is tailored for utility and industrial environments where AC or HVDC sources are standard. Its redundant power architecture ensures uninterrupted service in demanding applications.
Moxa’s Noise Guard™ technology delivers wire-speed switching with zero packet loss, even under severe EMI conditions. Advanced redundancy is achieved with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery) as well as industry-standard RSTP and MSTP protocols, ensuring highly resilient communication paths.
Substation automation is further supported by a built-in MMS server based on IEC 61850-90-4, enabling seamless SCADA integration. Fibre Check diagnostics provide real-time monitoring of optical ports, helping maintenance teams detect degradation before service is impacted.
Security is reinforced with IEEE 802.1X authentication, TACACS+, RADIUS, SNMPv3, SSH, and HTTPS, while VLANs, quality of service, and IGMP snooping prioritise critical traffic such as GOOSE and sampled values. Proactive monitoring tools include Syslog, RMON, and automatic event notifications via relay and email.
Fanless, IP40-rated aluminium housing, and an operating range of -40 to 85°C guarantee reliable operation in substations, transportation, and other harsh field conditions.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
